Title:
2007 under VISTA - receive mail when Outlook NOT running
I am bugged by a (apparently) new feature of Outlook 2007.
I start Outlook and receive mail. Then, for one reason or another, I stop Outlook. My intention - and it has always worked this way until this 2007 version - is to prevent any additional e-mail from being received. I do not want e-mail to arrive unless I have Outlook actually running.
But Outlook 2007, at least under VISTA, seems to continue to receive e-mail even though Outlook itself is no longer active!#$!$% I get notifications of new e-mails and the letter icon in the SysTray even when Outlook is not running.
Does anyone know how to stop this?... I want to receive e-mail only when I have Outlook up and running.
thanks
