TRN is a Rewdwrite cursor and the record source for a Grid.
I cannot see anywhere in the code where I try to access the file if its at eof as all I am doing is appending records, and modifying them

Do you have any grid properties that are driven by RECNO()?

If you do, make sure that the value(s) are valid.
