>>>I was rather suprised how straight forward these guys were. One thing I didn't take into account was the stolen id's, which all said they found at flea markets. Even more funny was that 3 of the guys were using the exact same ID - only thing different was the picture...haha
>>>Out of the 37 willing to answer only ONE - just one was a USA citizen and only two had green cards....anyway guess I'll let the numbers speak for themselves......

>>Sounds like what I expected to hear. Maybe even higher.

>Other than the guys using stolen ID's it's pretty much what I expected too. Their willingness to talk was a little suprising - these guys don't seem to be afriad of being sent back at all and are happy to talk about their experiences. Apparently there is no fear of the cops doing anything - they don't - its the imigration dept (INS) that worries them. I asked some other questions that I didnt keep track of - all the ones I asked said they were sending $ back to Mexico to their families (I only asked a few that though) and some already had part of their families here.

I had done some work on a system for a building contractor that did work in AZ, CA, and NV. Once we cross referenced all of their employees across all of their sites, we ran into many using a duplicate SSN, and in most cases even the same name. Couldn't possibly have been the same person as there could be as many as 10 in a state (or in multiple states), all on different job sites at the same time. They only had me generate a report of the duplicates, what they did with that information, I do not know.

And you're right, none at the Home Depot, or at McDonald's (they wait in the parking lot there, too) seem to be too concerned with the local police or even the County Sheriff, but INS usually doesn't make too many appearances this far north of the border.
