(At least one news outlet should use the headline "Pot Calls Kettle Black" in coverage of Pres. Clinton's criticism yesterday of the Libby commutation). But hypocrisy is no excuse for what Bush did. That should be viewed on its own merits, not with a lowest-common-denominator viewpoint that it's OK if someone else did something as bad or worse.
Let's say you're on the jury in a murder trial and the defense's argument is "Hey, this is nothing, John Wayne Gacy killed 40 kids." Would you find that persuasive?
What I want to find out is whether Valerie Plame was covert or not. She is routinely described in news report as a (former) covert agent but you say she was not. Will post back with whatever I find.
