Hi Mike,

We haven't finished season 2 yet. Other things have kept us from watching them. I have only seen a few epsiodes from seasons 3/4 on local reruns so i don't have a good benchmark but as time went on they did seem to get more "different" as they tried to put together and resolve the Superman "history" from the comics and the movies.

I always loved Superman but ( on a light note ) I'm not sure the terms "dark/weird" or "normal" can be applied to any of it. The whole concept of Superman and his powers ( at least in this universe ) is not what i would call "normal". :-) I imagine some of the "weirdness" was due to their attempt to 1) Keep people interested and coming back to the series, and 2) To try to reconcile the many years of comic books history with the movies.
