Sorry, I can't help you..
But i'm having the same "bubble" problem with modal forms containing ComboBoxes. It's irritating, and because users don't like this, I had to create a clone for the ComboBox using textbox+listbox.

I found this "bubble" error only when I load 3 or more forms, in cascade.

If VFP5 doesn't have the same problem, my life will be easier...
