Title:
Creating Builders for .NET Windows Forms
In our conversion to .NET we are trying to learn what we can do and can't.
Has anyone had any experience in creating a "builder" like we can in FoxPro with Windows Forms? Specifically, we have used a builder to determine which controls are selected, and then applied common values to those properties or used it as a streamline process for setting properties.
For example, our builder pops up a grid where we can set the name, Control Source, table, field names, (some of our custom properties) to the control, and then we save the form with those new values. Its much faster than going one-by-one through each control and setting the property manually.
Thanks in advance...again we're just learning what we can do with .NET.
