I've created a service that sometimes communicates correctly with a third-party application over ports. The problem is in the "sometimes" part of this. It does not remain consistent. I'll get errors and will not be able to connect one time, then another it will connect, but no data comes over. Other times it connects, data comes over, then the next time it errors out again. I am able to see that both sides are talking to the same port, but I just don't have the knowledge to troubleshoot this efficiently. I have to run it by my boss, but he said we could bring someone from the outside in to assist with these types of technical issues. You must be very experienced with port communications and network type stuff (that tells you right there how much I know on these things). Let me know if you're interested and why you think you could help us and we'll go from there. I'm not sure how long - probably just a few hours for the right person. I would like to be able to go to my boss with 2 or 3 names and their compensation requirements. Let me know soon, because this stuff is really starting to - well, just let me know soon.
