I know that this happens sometimes, but at least here, we don't have a an official list of names from where parents must choose for. I guess the name just happens to be popular.

Years ago, I actually considered the idea of going by "Kevin Scott" (my first and middle name)...unfortunately, there's a member of a popular American band with the same name, along with a speed skater, and another UT member named Kevin Scott. So I gave up on creating a name that no one else had. ;)
