Putting theft and Walmart in the same message reminded me of Costco, which is operating at pretty much the same profit rate, but pays their staff well, and the atmosphere in their shops is about 5 notches better. How do they make such a profit if they aren't skimming on salaries? Simply, their workers don't steal, so they don't waste money on that kind of insurance, security, investigations and courts.
