Thankyou all for your replies;
What I was hoping for was as in the excel 4/5 and FP 2.6 days, to open up a DBF in excel, edit the data, save it, and open it in FP ... but guess those days of simplicity are gone !!!!!
What I think I'll do is to revert to plan B which is to write an app to allow for this feature, which i may post on UT if anyone else has a need for such app.
