samizdat, BTW. But yes, the best thing the American Military Whatever has ever done was to create the foundations of Internet. You haven't been around here in 1999 (or not with this photo, anyway), so I don't know whether you remember that we kept talking here and elsewhere, kept exchanging emails etc while our countries were at war with each other. It's probably the first time in history that there was a widespread real-time communication between the peoples of warring sides.

It still can. I don't see any great change there, except the multiplication of capable players, and the politics that increases the chance of one of them getting sufficiently PO'd at some point.
