Pardon my 'Small mouth, big talk' the best they will drop in 5-7 years will be 16 bit support. Just like they cannot afford to loose 16 bit app users as of Win Server 2008, when they go UPDATE 32 62 bit they won't be able to loose the 32 bit app users.

Just my 2 cents.
