Peter,

I was in the USA 2 weeks ago meeting (large corporate) customers and not a single one asked or cared about the underlying technology. Obviously all of our circumstances are different and it is our job to assess and react.

I'm also thoroughly attuned to the reality that "things will change." Sometimes it's easy to relax in a comfortable situation and believe it will last forever. I think VFP'ers used to be like that, but maybe not for a few years now. Whereas there are other groups who seem thoroughly pleased with themselves but over whom I perceive an enormous Sword of Damocles. I guess we'll see. In the meantime there are customers to serve and a business imperative to STAY PRODUCTIVE.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
