Ah, I see...maybe Cathy's voice can be disabled (speakers are off anyway)? That feature might cost money. ;)

>What happens is when you receive a reply, FF pulls up QuickTime to play the sound, which causes the edit window to lose focus. Rather than using back/forward buttons I find it easier just to alt-tab to some other app, then alt-tab back and all is well again.
