Craig,

the technology for that isn't here

Sure- but things change.

A few days ago in San Francisco I met a VC type who commutes regularly to Europe. His office is his Blackberry. He prints papers by e-mailing them to a certain address. He dictates as much as possible and the audited transcript is e-mailed to him within hours. Suffice to say that he does not know or care what OS is inside his Blackberry, though he eagerly scours the news for newer models and features that will make it even easier for him.

OK, it's anecdote. But you must have seen how quickly the cellphone txt-msg craze swept across US schools. IMHO change occurs unbelievably quickly with these sorts of devices and behaviors.

Everything I do is on a server, but if I was doing front-end stuff I'd spend my time checking out blackberries and iPhones rather than worrying about 32-bit support. JMHO.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
