VFP jobs are not a dime a dozen anywhere, and applicants with VFP on their resume probably aren't common either. I find it hard to believe you are that close to a significant number of people evaluating resumes and further to know what they are thinking about VFP. What I do take from your statement is that you may have heard a comment or two like that by someone looking to fill a position where VFP is not required, and you have made a broad assumption based on that.
