I agree I have a pretty sweet situation here, and could probably retire with this company if that is what I choose. Because of the Fox, I have earned and saved enough over the years to retire now, but will continue to work because I like contributing to building sucessful business's and (usually) enjoy what I am doing. I have lots of other skills as well, and have been offered non programming positions while working here. My boss is wary about bringing in technology vendors because I almost always get offered a job in the process of evaluating their product/service. Since he realizes this, he knows he has to pay me well :)

>Now, odds are, you'll be able to stay at your place for as long as you want, and that's great. Actually, that's fantastic. But many aren't so fortunate, and have to do some career planning. I'm serious and sincere when I say this - there are some people who should be hoping that they'll be able to stay in Fox for a very long time and it sounds like you fall into that category. That's not a value judgement, it's an observation, and I'd be surprised if you disagreed with me.
