I second most of what other people said, although I would be able to provide more advise based on several questions to you:

- Are you already an experienced VFP developer?
- Do you have a lot of framework code or other reusable stuff in VFP?
- Do you have some applications already built, or are you planning to build new stuff?
- Are you working alone or with a team? If you have a team, how is their level of expertise in VFP?
- What kind of market are you targeting with your apps?
