Sure they'll find new labour supplies, but the cost of everything will rise considerably as those new legal labour supplies demand proper wages. Either that, or the government will need to chip in even more subsidies, and they may need to increase tariffs on imported goods, and neither of those is a good thing.

Don't get me wrong. I too believe this is the way to go, but I think far too many people think it's a simple slam-dunk process. For quite a long while, there will be hell to pay while the transition is happening.
