>I agree it was well acted and the cinematography was great. I think a mini-series would have been better - they could have covered more and perhaps not strayed so far into conjecture, summarization, and dramatization of the history to tell a story in 2 hours (more or less).

I agree the movie format isn't really the way to tell a story this big ( there is supposed to be a miniseries "The Company" on cable in August ) but my real objection is creating composite characters and munging the stories - and not even getting the payoff of a story more exciting or interesting than the real one. The real characters were much more interesting and the real story much more exciting.
