The only think that I could see presently about receiving an empty frame at the top are as followed:

1. No new message (but I guess this is not the case)
2. A double click on the Login button (thus, the second click is overwriting the first one and no new message are present)
3. A problem with the browser/connection which means the transaction will not be able to be completely successfully
