I am at my wits end (which isn't very far) wrestling with a nasty memory error. I have tried everything I can think of to try and track down this error but I can't figure it out. It usually happens when I click on a button that pops up a second form over the main form. Then I click the cancel button on the second form and I get the following error.

APPLICATION ERROR
The instruction at "0x10001546' referenced memory at "0x0153c00" The memory could not be "read".

The bad thing is that it isn't consistent. Sometimes I can repeat the above procedure 3 to 6 times before it blows up. And the numbers in the error aren't always the same either, i.e. 0x10001546 might be 0x10017bf or something else instead.

When the VS debug kicks in it says Unhandled exception error in amm.exe (VFP500.DLL) 0xC0000005 Access Violation.

I am running VFP 5.0a on NT with a Novell server. I am using a pentium pro 200 with 64 megs of memory. I have tried running the exe on other workstations and have even recompiled it on other work stations with a different VFP (since VFP is installed locally) and still get the same error. The weird thing is that I ran the application at home on a AMD 266 with Windows 98 and I couldn't get it to proc out.

I have tried EVERYTHING including reducing my code to bare bones but it doesn't seem to be any particular line of code that is causing the problem, however I can't be sure of this.

ANY help or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!

TIA!
