It has been shown that the Brits did not "walk all over" the Anzac troops at Gallipoli, as the film portrays. I'm not even saying that Gibson had any directorship of the film but it's as if the ideas planted in his head, about the British, in that film have stayed with him since.
You tell me: Did the Ozzies climb over the top, no bullets in their rifles, for a suicidal charge, while your troops had a gala, sitting cross-legged, out of their trenches, just mowing them down with impunity?
