Yes, but I was told to prepare for multiple messages also. If something is wrong at the port, it will drop into a directory as a file and may have more than one message. This Hl7 stuff is proving to be quite the challenge for someone with no port communications or EDI experience, but when I'm done, I'll have more under my belt to brag about.
