Since X is equal to 10 in roman numbers, and 1997 was the year Microsoft destroyed the FoxPro devcon and turned it into a .net marketing ploy, I say you are absolutely right.
My trip to that devcon cost me about 3000 USD, which was a total waste of money for me. I was so close to ask for my money back, but instead I spent the time at the beach.
