You're absolutely right Mike. MS did'nt kill it. They just did everything they could to disappoint potential new developers to use it.

Microsoft may not have marketed FoxPro to the satisfaction of a lot of us but saying they killed it is a gross oversimplification. Let's not forget they kept it alive for over 10 years (and counting, sort of), doing one major rewrite and issuing 5 more versions after that.
