What I'm wondering is if an EBCDIC-to-ASCII conversion utility exists out here in the FoxPro world. I've got a client who receives EBCDIC files from an outside source and we need to get them converted to ASCII.

Jim,

You customer sending you the files is getting them from an IBM main frame or AS/400? PC support AS/400 lets you get the data from the system in any format, including DBF. Why couldn't your customer give you the data in DBF rather than EBCDIC? I did this all the time on a SYS36, and I have done it on SYS38 and AS400 systems. Just a thought.
