There was an article by Rick Strahl couple of years back in Code Magazine. I haven't much worked with .NET, so I don't know all the details and I believe it is not easier now when it was then.

If you can not find it, I'll find info here in .NET forum, your question (macro) was asked several times there already.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
