Where in Gloucestershire are you going ( I was born there. In a town called Berkeley)
I wouldn't find 180 miles that much. Beyond 300 miles starts to feel like a trip. I took a job a couple of years ago that involved 240 miles of driving every day and that really began to grate after a few weeks (luckily it was only for about 5 or 6 weeks.)
