It's coming. Just recently I heard a block of old buildings is being flattened somewhere in one of the bays here, to be replaced with a, guess what: a "mixed use community". It's supposed to have apartments, offices and shops in the same block. Which means they're bringing back what they expelled 50+ years ago, the normal mix where you can actually have something worth walking to.
