I've realised, I'm doing it wrongly, so the behavior is correct. In other words, from this message I'm right clicking on the title and select open in new window. It brings a first message in this thread, but I want it to bring the message I'm clicking on.

However, as I just understood, the behavior is right. But then I have a question - how can I open the particular message in a new window to get its external link? Is there a way from a message itself without a need to create internal reference first?
