We have an application that re-uses records by deleting a rows contents, but not the row. The row is only deleted when a PACK command is issued.

As the table is open to multiple users for updates 24/7 the PACK command is not an option. As a result there are many blank records in the table which can be re-used with the SEEK blank record in FoxPro but which can not be used with ODBC update commands.

Does anybody know how the table can be used in ODBC with the update command to replace one blank record with new valid data, leaving the other blank records available for futre updates. Alternativley how can the blank records be PACKed from the table without having any down time.
