I made a mistake on the first post. Read Ed Pikmans post on how to get out of the situation you had.....follow my post to avoid it in the future :)

>>
>>Go into View Designer and designate one of the fields (a unique one) as the key in the fields list in the Update Criteria tab....

>I tried that, and it didn't work. VFP eventually just crashed and I got back and seem fine...fingers crossed! ;)

>>>Hi all,
>>>
>>>I was trying to close my open tables, including a view and base table and am getting the following error message all of the sudden:
>>>
>>>"No key columns are specified for the update table "ird!person". Use the keyfieldlist property of the cursor"
>>>
>>>The help key is no help and I can't close my tables, views or even VFP (v5.0). I'm stuck. Anyone know what this means or how to correct it?
>>>
>>>What a day! ;)

>>>MTIA!
