Hi Jay

>If a CD can hold 750mb of data, why only 100mb of MP3s? Tried two different recorders and CDs with the same result. Is there overhead that is not related to just the size of the MP3 files?

Are you burning them as Data CD or as a Music CD, then you will pack around 60-70 mins. of songs
