Thanks for responding to my APPEND FROM problem. I ran the exact same program on two different machines and it worked fine on one and not the other. Really wierd! I changed the statement as you had suggested and it appeared to make no difference. THink I'll do a workaround in order to meet my project deadline. We're both running the same version of VFP 5.0 - just can't figure this one out.
