Yes I can do this with tables, but why not allow hints ? Even if you have your temp on a separate disk, for multi-step scenarios you have to either resort to temp tables or live with the intermediate results all living on the same HD.

You could change this in your Config.FPW file.
I doubt you want some cursors to be created somewhere, but others to be created somewhere else.
