Still getting the same error.

I've created a new control based on this (copied all the PEMs), and it doesn't even fire a mouse down or mouse move event if it's not over the text. The difference may be in some API functions which are used to paint the background in the existing treeview class - they may have changed the behavior in some way.

I'm thinking of just giving up. This already took too much time and nerves.
