I found that direct OLE to Excel and MSGraph was extremely slow as well (about a minute for a bar chart on a 486DX66). However, using a MSGraph object in a OLE bound control is much better, especially in VFP5.

You may want to think about a graphing package such as Pinnacle, and etc.
