Bananarama were just like a bunch of office girls having a sing-song on their night out. No solos, no harmonies or counter-melodies. Just bog-standard singing.. Ace of Base (Just be good to me?) at least had some nice reggae licks in their music.
BTW - bit late to be "coming out" now - like 20 years after these bands were around.
