>Yeah, I avoid flying _through_ Detroit, but I've found that when I need to go _to_ Detroit, it's hard to avoid. <g>

>Fortunately, I've never had to go TO Detroit. I realize that every airline has horror stories, but I've had the worst luck with Northwest. Detroit's airport is much nicer than it used to be, but that's about the only nice thing I'll say about it.
I don't fly Northwest except under duress. When I go to Detroit, I fly USAir.
>I've had the fewest problems with Delta - but then again, I know people who HATE Delta.
I've only used Delta once or twice and had a pretty good experience.
Living here in Philly, I can get pretty much anywhere with USAir. Keeping all flying on one airline seems to pay off. Last year, I had enough miles to get me the lowest preferred status, which has paid off a couple of times.
