With the help of people on the Universal Thread I have a way of doing all but one my requirements. I wish to thank everyone who responded and helped me.

My last problem (which for now I solve by tell users they should only print the document or exit it) is that I would also like to disable the "Save As" feature of word. By opening the file read/only the cannot make changes and "Save" it, but the can use "Save As" and using a different name. I would like to prevent that if I can with out changing the word file if possible.
