I haven't seen anything I'd call an attack or insult. You are using words like arrogant and fixating though.

If you have an environment where speed becomes more important, then you are correct to focus on it. But where you are incorrect and rude is to slam other people because they don't code exactly as you do. In my environment, other things are more important, but you don't seem to be able to understand that.

I agree with all of that. I would like to point out that there is value in trying to come to a consensus about granularity, UDFs etc. We can only get that by putting aside our emotions - something else Star Trek taught me about life! ;)
