1500 hundred? That would confuse the heck out of me.

If you need to meet someone at 4:30am, you would say "oh four thirty" and 3:00pm would be '1500 hundred.' There is a little bit of 'slang' expressed sometimes, for instance, it is common to say in lieu of 12:30am in civilian time (0030 in military): 'oh dark thirty.'
