>First, I hope the one who is offereing you the job does not read posts here on UT. Second, I can't see any way to find out from an prospective employer what your chances are. Things can change at a moment's notice and nobody owes anyone anything. I think there are only two primary variables here. The job you have and the one that has been offered. Compare them only and see how you feel. Know clearly the reasons you want to leave one and go to the other. Picture yourself at the new job in 6 months, if you can, and compare that. Look at the people. The work itself is usually no big deal, but the people you work with/for are. Just my first quick thoughts...
