>I have not done this before, and was wondering if anybody has experience creating an NT service. My particular need is to write an NT service that will log a user into the NT server, make changes, retrieve files, and then log out of that server, retturning back to the client.

Any EXE can be made into an NT service. The NT Resource Kit has a utility that will do this for you.
