>AFAIK, a DLL cannot be build w/o registering. Wht can't you build DLL on a workstation?
The live and the development box have two differnet configuration Meta Data tables built into the dll. So if I compiled it on the development box then the development box would not function as the dll names are the same.
Thanks for the information Sergey.

>>My problem is this, the Live server and the development server use the same DLL name, but the Live server has different configuration programs. So since I do not have access to the live server anymore I cannot get onto it to build/register the DLL on that server. If I build the DLL on the development server it will build it and then register the DLL on that server and that would then corrupt the development's DLL. As they have the same name. How can I build a DLL from a VFP project, but tell it not to register the DLL with the server.
