Wow, I thought I moved alot! I see you've recently moved. My wife is from Strawberry Plains which is a little cross-roads just east of Knoxville.

>>>I just did a quick count, and since I was 20, I have lived at 47 different addresses, 14 different towns/cities, and worked for 16 different companies (sometimes the same contracting firm though).

I have had contracts where I made over 120k/year for 6 months - I literally couldn't spend it fast enough, though I sure tried. I hated the work and dealing with the people at the site. Short-term, it was worth it, but if they had wanted me permanently, I would have said no.

>>>>>>>First, I hope the one who is offereing you the job does not read posts here on UT. Second, I can't see any way to find out from an prospective employer what your chances are. Things can change at a moment's notice and nobody owes anyone anything. I think there are only two primary variables here. The job you have and the one that has been offered. Compare them only and see how you feel. Know clearly the reasons you want to leave one and go to the other. Picture yourself at the new job in 6 months, if you can, and compare that. Look at the people. The work itself is usually no big deal, but the people you work with/for are. Just my first quick thoughts...
