The re-unite of the family may have highly beneficial effects, right?! The offered job is for at least one year, right? A lot (other offerings) can happen in that one year. In a sense this is a choice between carreer and family/social life. Carreer produces money, success, power and perhaps esteem, which are either practical consequences (money) or values I referred to earlier. Family/Social life costs money, but it is related to other values, like dedication/devotion/passion, giving help, raising children and many more. A good family/social life can prevent or decrease stress and increase happiness. A bad job can increase stress and decrease happiness. A 'lesser' job or a temp job is not necessarilly a bad job.

If it is expected that the re-unite will do much good and if the offered job is lesser and/or temp but not bad, then choose that job. The chances are that another job will be offered before the end of that one year.
