I have a combo box in the third column of a grid with the following properties

grid.readonly = .F.
grid.column1.readonly = .T.
grid.column1.readonly = .T.
grid.column1.readonly = .F.
grid.column1.combobox.readonly = .F.

when I click the combo box, I get the "control is read only" message...

Any ideas what could cause this?
